At exactly 14:44, an announcement was made in preparation for the moment of silence for the victims of the Earthquake which happened on March 11th, 2011.
At 14:46 everyone stopped… And for just a moment and there was a dead silence allover.
A moment so calm,even the winds ceded to blow in honor of the moment…
I felt the earth so still.
I bow my head and prayed;

Most merciful and compassionate God,
Giver of Life and Love,
hear our prayers
and let our cries come unto you.

Its been exactly two years since the Earthquake happened…
Lives were lost, homes in pieces, and many missing
Japan, a country not prepared like another country
Not prepared for the Shakes, rumbles, and tremors
It was a devastating and heartbreaking toll
For a moment, we all thought, “Is it all over.”

But here we stand henceforth,
Facing life as if nothing happened…
Open our hearts to feel your compassion
Rouse in us the spirit and continued act of giving
Strengthen our bond to the sisters and brothers in need
touch and comfort the injured, the bereaved and the lost

Give strength and power to the aid workers and medical personnel
Open pathways to partnerships and peace
Give us the strength and wisdom to support Japan, and
Let us live amongst ourselves in loving-kindness.
I pray believing in Your Name; Lord,
AMEN

 

GOD SPEAK TO ME…

We ought to count the blessings we have instead of focusing on what we don’t have. There was a man who prayed to God and hoped for God to appear to him.

The man Whispered,”God, speak to me.” And the meadow-lark sang.
But the man did not hear.

Then the man yelled “God, speak to me.” Thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said, “God, let me see you.” And the stars shined brightly.
But the man did not notice.

The man looked around and said, “God, let me see you.” And the stars shined brightly.
But the man did not notice.

So, the man cried out in despair, “Touch me God, and let me know you are here.” Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

So remember, don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way that you expect.
Take notice of the blessings around you.
